Improvement in Storage Capability of Discrete Color Images Using Lossless Image Compression Techniques
AbstractIn this paper, we introduce an innovative method for lossless compression of discrete-color images. We are implementing Huffman coding for the compression of images which provides same and exact resolution but size of image is less in this context further implementation can also be performed continuously. This method comprises two main components. The first is a fixed-size codebook encompassing blocks of two-tone data along with their corresponding Huffman codes and their relative probabilities of occurrence. The possibility were obtained from a very large set of discrete color images which are also used for arithmetic coding. The second method is the row-column reduction coding, which will encode those blocks that are not in the codebook.
